Thoughts: What did you guys think of Linda's dress?  Contrary to many other, I actually quite like the dress.  It gives off a very cozy feeling of Autumn and I thought Linda's hairstyle matched quite well with the dress.  Maybe I'm a bit odd but I also really like the gloves she wore lols.  

Nearly 200 Artists' Attend TVB Programme Presentation 2014

Last night Charmaine Sheh, Kevin Cheng, Niki Chow, Myolie Wu, Bosco Wong, Tavia Yeung, Kenneth Ma, Kate Tsui, Raymond Lam, Linda Chung, Wayne Lai and nearly 200 artists attended the TVB Programme Presentation 2014 show. There were several rumored couples gathered together in one place including the former 'love triangle' Kevin, Charmaine and Niki and ex-couple Bosco and Myolie. Niki's boyfriend Jeremy Jones 'met' Kevin for the first time. Although Kevin and Charmaine were a pair on the red carpet, during the group picture they had zero interaction. Instead, Kevin chatted with Linda Chung more, while Charmaine chatted with Moses. As for Niki, she stood far from Kevin and Charmaine, and instead linked arms with Myolie's ex Bosco.

Later, Niki disclosed Kevin did greet her. Asked if they'll feel awkward portraying a couple again in the future? She said: "Its just work, can't choose the people. I don't mind working with him, but I need to know what the couple has to do." Asked what if Charmaine Sheh is added into the series? Niki paused for a moment and said: "That interesting?" Charmaine expressed during the rehearsal, she did chat with Kevin and does not understand why there would be awkwardness. When speaking of Niki being at the show too? Charmaine said: "Yeah, there's a lot of people. (Did you chat with Niki?) I've chatted with many colleagues, we're all friends. I don't even remember who I chatted with." Kevin said there is no awkwardness at these events: "When you're at that age, you have some history, its not a big deal." Linda and Charmaine were dressed the most conservative. Myolie had a large "knife cut" across her chest, quite enticing.

Next year TVB will be producing 16 series and 14 variety shows. Wayne Lai and Ron Ng had the most series, each had 3 series; Ruco Chan, Edwin Siu and Raymond Wong each had 2 series; Tavia Yeung, Myolie Wu, Kate Tsui and Linda Chung each had 2 series; Kristal Tin, Eliza Sam and Samantha Ko are the heavily promoted artists and each got 2 series. Kenneth Ma had no series. TVB Programme Presentation 2014 will be broadcast on November 30th.

[News] "Big Apothecary" Filming Sales Presentation

Linda Chung was filming a Sales Presentation clip for the pre-modern series "Big Apothecary" with Ruco Chan, Raymond Wong, and Shirley Yeung. The series will begin filming in November. Although the genre is slightly similar to the Korean drama "Jewel in the Palace", this time's pre-modern background is very different. In the series, she becomes China's first female apothecary, and has a romantic storyline with Ruco and Raymond, making her greatly anticipating it. Her character is slightly similar to Dae Jang Geum. Linda said, "Perhaps. Want to become China's first female apothecary. TVB Holds Sales Presentation 2013

Last night TVB held their annual Sales Presentation 2013 at TVB City to sell their upcoming series the advertisers. The Siu Sangs and FaDans all appeared walking down the red carpet including Raymond Lam, Kate Tsui, Wayne Lai, Tavia Yeung, Moses Chan, Michael Tse, Linda Chung, Kenneth Ma, Niki Chow, Bosco Wong, Aimee Chan, Sharon Chan, Nancy Wu, Mandy Wong, Jason Chan, Eliza Sam, Rebecca Zhu, and many more. TV King and Queen hot favorites Raymond and Kate led the group and walked down the red carpet together.

Lucky Father Synopsis (from Sales Presentation Booklet)

Plot outline:

Your shop needs to be mortgaged and then repaid off, but the one thing in the world that never needs to get paid off is family. “Lucky Father” Ko Yi Man is a shop owner who has spent his life and all his heart raising his three children. When he decided to spend his life raising his children, he never expected to receive anything back for his love, because for all his children to grow up happily meant the world to him and that was all he ever wanted for them as a father.

Synopsis:

Ten or so years ago, “Lucky Father” Ko Yi Man became the boss of “Dak Guang At”. The story begins when his youngest daughter Ko Yu Bo finishes university and returns to Hong Kong from Canada….

The story of “Lucky Father” follows his three children and his hopes of how he wishes they can be successful professionals in the workforce. His eldest son is an optometrist, his second daughter, Yu Chu, is a police woman – a PC (police constable). At least it contains a ‘C’ (This is very Chinese as ‘See’ means professional jobs like Laywers, doctors, etc) Because neither his oldest son and his second daughter are professionals, he hopes that his third and youngest daughter will become a designer to fulfill his dream of his children being professionals.

But when Yu Bo, his youngest daughter returns and tells her father that she doesn’t want to be a designer, she greatly disappoints him. However, Yi Man is happy if his children are happy. He wants Yu Bo to reach her dreams but he doesn’t want to pressure her.

In the end, when his shop is on the verge of closing down, all his 3 children band together to help their father through, but Yi Man doesn’t want to get in the way of his children’s lives and ambitions and thus decides to close down his shop. However, his children have other ideas in mind, and deicide to make his shop into a pawn shop, so that they can help other people in need and make the world a more beautiful place.
