ALL THAT IS BITTER IS SWEET - 大藥坊 - 30 EPISODES
Cast: Linda Chung, Ruco Chan, Raymond Wong, Natalie Tong, Pierre Ngo, Shirley Yeung, To Yin Gor

A story revolving around a pharmacy. Linda plays a rich girl, whose family runs a large pharmaceutical business. But the pharmacy later gets hit by a huge epidemic. Linda is the first female pharmacist in China, she helps resolve the issue in a strong manner; Linda-Ruco-Raymond-Natalie will be involved in a love square.

Thoughts
The story is interesting since it will be revolving around a female hero protagonist instead of a man (which I often think is the situation).

Btw the trailer is basically the same as the one released out last year with just a few minor tweaks towards the middle and end.  It's a bit disappointing since I was hoping to see more new clips.

TIGER CUBS II - 飛虎II - 20 EPISODES
Cast: Joe Ma, Linda Chung, Oscar Leung, Him Law, Benjamin Yuen, Timmy Hung, Mandy Wong, Christine Kuo, Grace Wong, Patrick Tang, Matthew Ko, William Chak, Nancy Wu, Jade Leung, Sam Tsang, Jerry Koo

Following the hit of the last series 'Tiger Cubs', the new one has valiant policemen and undercover policewomen that are fully equipped for another lethal mission; A total of 10 stories, each 2 episodes long. The sequel incorporates more dramatic elements that would make audience want to keep watching, such as the resentment among the SDU brothers. There are more large-scale scenes in this sequel compared to the last. The characters from part 1 will continue in the sequel with addition of new characters. Joe continues as "Jin Sir", he has become even more matured since part 1; Linda plays a cold CIB madam, who is an undercover in the triad. The triad eventually discovered her true identity and traumatized her, which turned her into a ruthless and violent madam.

Thoughts
I liked the first installement, so hopefully this will be able to follow its predecessor's footsteps.
Hmm...Jade Leung is really making a comeback to tvb? She's also in Vinegar Lady.

[News] Joe Ma Carries Linda Chung Away from Explosion and Drops Her, Sobs In Pain

Yesterday Linda Chung, Joe Ma and Nancy Wu were filming the ending scene for TVB new series Tiger Cubs II. The scene was about the villian Nancy Wu holding Linda captive, she hanged her up high and Joe Ma rushed to rescue her. Joe was able to get Linda out before the huge explosion, but unfortunately encountered an accident. Before the cameras rolled, Joe was just leisurely chatting on the phone, then he and Linda tested the positions twice before Joe picked Linda up and the cameras started rolling. Joe carried Linda as he ran away from the explosion, but after 4-5 steps, Joe tripped, dropping Linda and the two tumbled on the ground. Joe got some light scraps on his right hand, but Linda had injuries on both her hands and thigh.

When Linda saw a piece of her skin peeled off on her left hand, she shouted that it was painful and couldn't stop her tears from coming down. The staff quickly went over to clean her wound. After the two took a break, they went back to filming and to prevent distractions, the crew asked everyone to clear the set and once filming completed, Joe and Linda were sent to the hospital for a checkup.

Joe Apologizes to Linda

Linda took a 20 minute break after the accident, and then forced herself back to filming, she clearly hadn't recovered from the accident yet. When asked about her teary eyes at the time of the accident, Linda expressed it wasn't painful. But asked if she was still really scared and if she could handle it? Linda couldn't stop her tears again, she nodded and quickly went back to filming. Joe expressed he just got minor scraps and a small pain on his shoulder. He believed it was purely an accident, action scenes aren't considered too difficult for artists. Asked whether he lost control because he had a leg injury? Joe said: "No, it was a natural response from the feeling of weightlessness of moving forward. I have to apologize to Linda, I caused her the injuries and we had to film the scene again. I hope she's okay."

After they finished the scene, Linda went to the hospital immediately and got her injuries bandaged up. She said: "No need to worry, I am fine. I'm ok! I will get better soon." She posted a photo of her smiling and told fans not to worry about her.

As for Nancy, she had to hang on wires too and it all went smoothly for her. She was seen coming down carefully to prevent another accident. She stressed every time there is a dangerous scene, she's very careful. Also, Nancy admitted she's currently cohabiting with her boyfriend, but she's not in a hurry to marry him.

[News] Tiger Cubs II' Cast Exclaims "Delay No More!" Frightening Linda Chung Thinking Its Profanity

Last night Joe Ma, Linda Chung, Mandy Wong, Him Law, Oscar Leung, Christine Kuo and Grace Wong had the Tiger Cubs end-of-filming celebration dinner. Joe Ma generously pulled his wallet out and paid for the some HK$10,000 dinner, while Linda and Him paid for the raffle prizes. Since the filming of this series began, the cast were injured one way or another from the action scenes, and had to wear thick/heavy SDU uniforms during the hot summer weather. The male artists really had it difficult, no wonder they all shouted "Delay No More!" when they popped the champagne. They men frightened Linda so much, she covered her mouth in shock, thinking they were venting out their sufferings using profanity.

Joe expressed Tiger Cubs II filming was truly difficult to bear, thus the cast had to shout out the "Delay No More!" slogan to vent out their feelings, but denied that its a swear word. The cast was just hoping they could hurry up and finish filming the series without any "delay". What if there was a third installment of [u]Tiger Cubs[/i], is Joe willing to participate? He said he will have to see the reaction to this second installment first. If the audience enjoys the sequel, a third installment can be considered. It was rumored Raymond Lam is leaving TVB to establish his own production company, Joe frankly expressed he has this thought too, but hasn't had the time to put the thought to practice.

Linda was asked if she was frightened by the "Delay No More" slogan? She expressed she didn't have many scenes with the SDU members and that it was her first time hearing the slogan, she thought it sounded very special. It was rumored Raymond plans to pull Kate Tsui over to his new production company, did he try to pull her over too? Linda said: "I didn't hear about his new company, nor have I ever asked about his personal business. I don't know whether he tried to pull Kate over, but I still have several years left in my TVB contract."

Mandy Felt Awkward During Intimate Scenes with Him

Mandy played a female SDU member in the series, because she had to wear the full SDU gear to shoot the training scenes and under the blazing heat, she suffered from a heatstroke once. She said: "Because there was no ventilation in the uniform, it got even more stuffy when we had the mask on. When I got home after work, I felt really dizzy and my muscles ached, I think I got the heatstroke!" She frankly expressed the most difficult scenes were having to run up the hill in the heavy SDU uniform and carrying all those weapons. Mandy expressed she and Him Law are a couple once again in this series, and its the series she had the most intimate scenes. She said her romantic storyline involved intimate and bed scenes, "I felt a little awkward, but this is my fourth time collaborating with Him, as long as it fits with the plot, I don't mind hugging and kissing. We're close friends, so the scenes went smoothly. (Fear Tavia Yeung might be unhappy?) We're all friends!"

Christine & Eliza Denies Fallout Rumor

It was reported, because Christine Kuo has gained some weight recently, so Eliza Sam snatched some of her jobs away and ultimately ended up breaking off the sisterly relationship with Christine. Christine defended her good friend Eliza and said she fully trusts Eliza's personal character. They chatted about this rumor before and joked they should consider French kissing to prove that they are not on bad terms. Christine said: "But after more thought, we decided it wouldn't be a good idea, otherwise they'll have to keep doing that every time there is a fallout rumor. We lived together for six months before, I've always been the one who gets taken care of, but she is the first person I had to take care of." She frankly expressed she is planning to take vacation and go back to Canada to look after her mother whom had just underwent surgery and because she's having some personal issues that she wants to take care of.

[News] "Tiger Cubs 2" Big Explosion Scared Residents, Called The Police

Yesterday Joe Ma, Linda Chung, Him Law, Nancy Wu and Mandy Wong were shooting a big explosion scene for TVB new series Tiger Cubs II. The crew chose to shoot the scenes near a large government stadium in Causeway Bay. The scenes started out with Linda opening fire at Timmy Hung, then Nancy drives a car into an office building and threw a grenade. The SDU heard the loud bang and rushed to the scene.

Before the cameras rolled, the cast were relaxed and chatted happily, but once the staff shouted to clear the location, they ran over to their positions for this big scene. Linda, Nancy and Mandy ran over to their distant positions in 9 seconds!

Because the explosion was too severe, the staff asked all artists to take cover to avoid injuries, but among the female artists, Linda had the best treatment. She got to sit in the car and enjoy the big explosion scene in the car. The others had to stand there or crouch besides the car! At the moment of the explosion, the blaze was extremely fierce and not long after the dark smoke filled up 5 stories in the building. The people in the nearby buildings thought there was a real explosion and called the police. Results, several fire marshalls and the police came to the scene. Producer Lam Chi Wah said: "So sorry, the loud explosion sounds frightened everyone. We followed all the procedures and finished shooting the scene in the designated area."

Linda got special treatment from the staff, allowing her to sit in the car during the explosion. Linda was asked if she was in a great panic? She laughed: "I wasn't that scared because the biggest explosion scene I've done was actually in Brother's Keeper, so I had the experience. (Why did you hide in the car?) I'm the most well behaved, the staff kept telling me to get in the car, treating me just like a real BB. Actually I really wasn't that scared. (The explosion scene got the police involved?) Proves how realistic the scene was, we want to show the audience the best. The crew had done all the registrations and applications beforehand, but if the loud scene disturbed other residents, really sorry about that."

Joe expressed Tiger Cubs II filming is ending later this month, and praised the HK Police Force really does work efficiently, they came right to the scene when reported, but he was sorry the explosion caused disturbance to the nearby residents.

Him Captures "Evidence" On Camera

Him expressed he ran to the best place to take over and used his phone to take a picture of the scene. He shared the picture with everyone around him. Him disclosed this is not his first time shooting such a big explosion scene, so he wasn't as frightened as the female artists. He said: "Just now after we completed the scene, I immediately took off my helmet and put up a 'YEAH!' hand gesture to prove that I was in the scene. (Wasn't afraid the heat may melt your phone?) So that's why I used another staff's cell phone to take the pictures, haha!"

Nancy Felt Face Heating Up

Mandy and Nancy expressed this is their first time shooting such an intense explosion scene. Mandy laughed: "I felt scared, but at the same time I wanted to see it. Its so exciting, but when I got up, the explosion already happened. Luckily there were many other people on the set. Just now the camera man said he was filming a similar scene, but ended up losing all his hair. Just hearing that scared me, so I kept my head as low as possible during the explosion. (A resident thought it was real and called the police!) I saw the police come, but we were just filming. If we disturbed the residents, so sorry!" Nancy exclaimed: "It was such a strong explosion. I felt my face heating up. The staff told me to be careful and stand further away!"

Additionally, Linda was seen looking very distracted during a fighting scene for Tiger Cubs 2 recently, and had many NGs shots as a result.

When asked about the issue, Linda confirmed that she had indeed requested for a long break after filming for Tiger Cubs 2 ends, and has no plans to take on any new projects anytime soon.

It is speculated that Linda wishes to follow in the footsteps of her good friend Aimee Chan, who had recently gotten married and is enjoying a blissful family life.

I don't want to have scars, so protecting myself a bit". Regarding Nancy being afraid of injuring Linda, she laughingly said, "I am also afraid of injuring someone because I only know how to use strength and do not know how to accommodate the position. Also never tried fighting with a girl before". When asked whether he asked for pointers from rumoured boyfriend Philip Ng, Linda said, "Don't even have time to train and prepare. I am just relying on natural talent".

I don't want to hit Linda...afraid of injuring her. Actually, I suggested to the producer that firing a gun may be better".

Earlier, it was rumoured that Nancy would be marrying her boyfriend. She clarified, "Every time I have a series released, would have rumours. Afterward, I still three or four series...the rumours should be continuing". When asked whether she had marriage plans, Nancy laughingly said, "I am planning on having children first. [News] Linda Chung Fighting Nancy Wu on a Cliff

Yesterday, artistes Linda Chung and Oscar Leung went to an alley in Tai Kok Tsui to film the new series "Tiger Cubs II". The storyline was about Linda getting followed by Oscar when she went to collect evidence. Linda revealed that she will later have a fight scene with Nancy Wu on a cliff; this will be her first time fighting with a female since entering the industry: "We will be fighting for real! Greatly anticipating it. Nancy has a dance background...should be quite cool when fighting. I, on the other hand, do not have time to practice".

Regarding her professing her love for rumoured boyfriend Philip Ng in a high-profile manner at her concert earlier, she explained that she wanted to pass on the sweetness of marriage through the songs she sang that day. When asked whether she wanted to take the opportunity to publicly reveal her romance, she immediately denied, and also said that she has the love of many people now...also busily working, so letting nature take its course for everything.

As for Oscar, he praised Linda for being too adorable, making it rather difficult for him to portray his scenes of going against her and suspecting her: "I must overcome psychological barriers in order to do it! The plot talks about me thinking that Joe Ma has gotten together with Linda behind my elder sister's back, so I greatly despise her in the series, always exposing the things she does that cross the boundaries".

Thoughts: The downside of filming in the waters is that Linda doesn't know how to swim, but the upside is that at least she's cool underwater.  Probably scorching hot in HK right now =.=

A public relations staff explained: "Christine is not feeling well, so she couldn't make it." Lately Christine had been surrounded by several rumors, even Oscar had a rumor with her. When Oscar learned Christine couldn't make it, he joked: "There is no need to be afraid of rumors, what's so scary? Rumors with me is the best, everyone knows it's fake. [Pics/News] Linda Chung Shakes in Fear Filming Thrown in Water Scene

Yesterday Linda Chung began filming TVB new series Tiger Cubs II. The scene was about the bad guy Johnson Lee discovering her identity as an undercover; She gets beaten, shoved in a black trash bag and tossed into the sea. Linda appeared at the location with makeup of a bloody face full of wounds. She frankly expressed she cannot swim, but fortunately the director found a stunts double to do the scene for her. "I just have to do the close-up shots. Actually I was really scared, I have never opened my eyes underwater before. The director treated me very well, he put a 5-inch block under water for me to stand on, but I was still very scared of danger because the previous scene was about me trapped in the car's trunk, then me and the car fell in the water. I was so nervous, I drank a lot of water and choked. Before when I was still in Canada, I took swimming lessons, but no matter how much they tried to teach me, I didn't learn. One time the instructor threw me in the deep end of the pool, and since then I feared water even more. So, I don't like water events." On the first take of the scene, Linda got into the water and held her breathe, but 3 seconds later she had to come back up and stop the cameras from rolling. She said with a suffering look: "I can't do it!" The director asked an instructor to come assist her. Before the cameras rolled again, Linda took in some oxygen, but that apparently didn't have much effect since she still couldn't complete the scene even after 3 takes.
