[News] Linda Chung Transforms into Singer-Songwriter Composes Theme Song of Her New Series

Many TVB television artists tried to break into the music industry, but several of them couldn't get away from the fate of being an "one album singer". Linda Chung is committed to break this fate. Aside from her desire of holding her own concert, her ultimate goal is to become a singer-songwriter. LindaBB said: "I don't want people to think I'm just playing around." Linda liked music since childhood, she enjoys humming music in the shower the most. She said: "I remember I already started composing music when I was around 9. At the time, my parents heard me hum a melody and asked me what song I was humming? I answered them: 'I composed it!'" Based on this, Linda ran for Miss Chinese International in 2004 and entered the entertainment circle. Linda still had a bitter love for singing and music, but she never thought she'll have the opportunity to launch her own albums. "I didn't think I'll have the chance, so I just concentrated on filming series. I slowly fell in love with acting. Actually a TV series and its theme song are closely related. With a theme song that sounds good, it really helps the series. Every time I shoot a series, I have a theme song in my heart. I would think about this song while I make an outline of how I'm going to portray the role."

Back then Linda got an "admissions ticket" to enter the music industry, at first LindaBB didn't have much confidence: "Everyone had different views. Some people thought a TV actress goes into singing? Is she just playing around? But I want to prove to everyone that I am very serious. When I first stood on stage to sing, I was very nervous and did a lot of homework myself to overcome the nervousness. When you accumulate more and more experience, then you will enjoy the stage that belongs to you and your singing will be even better!"

Lately, LindaBB has started engaging more into composing music. Not only will she be composing the theme song to her new series All That Is Bitter Is Sweet (aka. The Great Pharmacist), she will also be composing a song for Hubert Wu. Linda felt satisfied: "Usually I'm very passive at work, but this time because I wanted to compose my own song, I took initiative to ask my record company if I could give it a try. I gave 10 song demos to my Boss to listen, and to my surprise one of them was chosen. This gave me more confidence."

LindaBB expressed music composition can inspire imaginations, not only will she think about the singer's voice, but she also has an idea of how the MV should be like. Asked what her trick was to composing music? She said: "Composing music is a training of your concentration. When you have the inspiration, then you have to sit yourself down and keep composing it until the 3 minute song is done. If you stop to chat with a friend or eat something, all that on and off moments, then you'll lose the inspiration."

And before we could even take a nice look at you beautiful ladies, the paparazzi would come and ask us “Who do you like?”, “Who do you have in mind?” I knew this was going to happen, so at first I took a good look. Then all of a sudden “ding” the spotlight shines on Linda BB. It’s so obvious isn’t it? And that’s when they said your name, and hasn’t that name help you along your way?

Linda: It honestly helped me a lot.

Kelly: Obviously with my 0.99 of a second when you caught my attention, it proved to me that got a great eye. But with all the success you have now was all done by yourself, don’t you agree? [News] TVB Establishes Own Record Label Entices Raymond Lam to Renew Contract

Back in the day, due to the broadcasting regulations, TVB was not allowed to touch anything outside of television broadcast business, thus the company was forced close record label Capital Artists. However, today the restrictions have been relaxed and plus TVB had excavated a great number of talented singers through their singing shows The Voice and Voice of the Stars. TVB feels they qualify to nourish talents in the music industry and thus decided to establish their own record company called Star Dream Entertainment Limited "Star Dream" (星夢娛樂有限公司). Star Dream will not only help artists launch music albums, but will also help them open concerts, manage their work in showbiz and protect their reputations. Furthermore, the artists are absolutely not permitted to perform in something that will damage their image and hope to give them a balance in acting and singing. TVB music producer CW Tang (Tang Chi Wai) will be the main person in charge of the record label's productions. To date, the majority of Raymond Lam's songs were produced and composed by CW Tang.

It was understood, Raymond Lam, Fred Cheng, Linda Chung and Myolie Wu will be TVB's "Big Four" trump cards for the new record label. [News] Linda Chung Unable to Answer When Asked About Marriage Partner

Linda Chung was shooting an advertisement with Slim Beauty when she revealed that she just recently returned from South Korea. There, Linda recorded a traveling show with 2 fans. They helped her with the itinerary and gave her many surprises. Linda said that it was a very memorable trip, one that she will always remember.

When asked what are the memorable moments her boyfriend has given her, Linda explained that the men she dated before has always been very practical. They were not too romantic. So even the most romantic moment she remember is simply walking on the beach and watching the sunset. Linda does not mind though and said that if she is with the person she loves, even the simplest things are memorable. It is not too hard to satisfy her or to make her happy. Just being able to take a nice picture with her partner would already make her very happy. Following that statement she was asked whether she'll take pictures of herself naked? That is not going to happen.

Linda does not know how to compete against others, she just knows that she have to work hard.  As to whether her boss is particularly bias towards her or not, Linda expresses that he treats her very well but it is not exactly favouritism. [News] Linda Chung No Longer Wants to be Addressed as "BB"

Yesterday Linda Chung attended a Metro radio event with Alfred Hui, Jinny Ng and Hanjin Tan. She just celebrated her 29th birthday a few days ago. Her birthday wish was good health for all the people she loves and everything goes smoothly for them. She said: "I got a lot of candles, bananas, and some kitchen utensils birthday gifts because I just started learning how to cook. In the past, I just knew how to make cake and instant noodles." Asked if the everyone she loves include Philip Ng? She said: "All my friends!" Asked if Philip celebrated with her? Linda expressed "Private party remains private." She did not want to comment.

Linda was in a great mood yesterday at the event, she joked: "This year is my 19th birthday, I will be 19 forever. I hope to maintain a youthful and geniune state, regardless of my age. [Clips] Love Love Love Autograph Session 03/10/13

Personally love the first clip alot, the fans singing along with Linda...haha although it's the same in the second clip, the first one just felt more harmonize (Linda and the fans).  Oh, also maybe because I like the song in the first one more too :P  Anyways, quite sweet.  Linda looks energetic after her break.  My favourite part of the all is in the first clip at 0:53 secs.  Linda was trying to immerse her emotions into the song but the fans sudden out burst (singing along with her) caused her to laugh.  Super cute and sweet!!  Hehe right?!?
Maybe it's just me, but I personally like hearing Linda singing at the functions more than during awards/tv variety shows and such.  Maybe it's because she's surrounded by lesser people and more fans, it's a bit nerve-wrecking?  
I am liking her live performances more and more....lols maybe to the extent where I prefer it more than the cd versions.  Why?  The atmosphere?  I find that her singing is more lively when she's with her fans :)  haha also the sounds of the fans in the background adds a little special feeling to the song.  Not to men tion, Linda's live singing has been improving, almost to the point where it's like the recorded versions :D Videos credits samson36501@youtube

There is now an official site for the artistes of Stars Shine, which of course includes our dearest Linda Chung!

The site is quite neat and nice to the eyes.  I especially like how there's a 'schedule' section regarding the upcoming activities of the singers.  Unfortunately, the function in regards to Love Love Love's autograph this upcoming week is not there....So are autograph/promotion functions of the singer's work not applicable to be put under 'schedules'?  Odd because Herman Ho attends them right?

Linda Chung Touched by Herman Ho's Promissory Note for a Mini Concert 

Linda Chung jumped out of the television circle and into the music industry. Earlier she released a new album Love Love Love, which had been a popular hit and achieved Gold Record sales. In order to thank her fans, yesterday she held a special "Linda Chung <Love Love Love> Happiness Autograph Session" in Tai Po. Linda dressed carefully for the event and attracted nearly 200 fans. Her record company's boss Herman Ho was also present to support his favorite artist.

Beside singing, Linda also played games with her fans. The fans wrote a message to Linda wishing her to "hold a concert in the Snake year". On stage, Linda frankly shared her New Year wishes, she expressed she wants to hold her very own concert and release dance songs. Linda also expressed she wants to take on new challenges, "I hope to try something I used to be scared of, such as dancing and portraying villain roles.
