[News] Bosco and LindaAttended Restaurant's Opening 08/02/13

Yesterday day Bosco Wong and Linda Chung attended a restaurant's opening as an onscreen couple. The two had previously worked together in tv drama, Witness Insecurity, and said that it has been a long time since the cooperation. Bosco Wong said that attending events as a couple will earn them more money and more opportunities. When rumoured girlfriend, Eliza Sum's name, was mentioned though, Bosco got confused and caused the audience to laugh. Bosco says that he only sees Eliza as a little sister.

Wearing a sexy low cut dress at the event, Linda Chung revealed that she'll be showing off her legs and waist during her upcoming concert, though it will be nothing too overly sexy or seductive.

Linda's 2012 Tvb Series - Review by Han

Now that 2012 is over, let's review Linda's TVB series for 2012.  This year Linda was part of 5 different series.  Here are my thoughts on the roles and the dramas.  **warning: contains spoilers
L'Escargot - Kwan Ka Lok
At the start of the drama I really liked Linda's character.  She cared a lot for her family and this will mean she will do anything in order to protect her them.  However, due to her naive and innocent nature she easily made the wrong decisions, which led to a whole mess in the storyline.

I felt that the character was too inconsistent in terms of development, though I can't help but pity Ka Lok.  She is so pure and naive and this was how Michael took advantage of her. Then again I was so frustrated when she didn't have the courage to tell Michael to 'get lost' or tell Ron the reason why she cheated.  I'm sure he would have understood.  It kind of showed in the scene where he spent a day to rethink and finds out that he truly loved her and decided to go find her, but Michael beat him to it arghh.  After Linda's character cheated with Michael Tse the character development just went downhill.  Why can she not make up her mind on who she likes?  Why did she run away from Michael saying that she hates him and then comes running back to him, it just doesn't make any sense?

She had a loving partner played by Ron Ng.  Ron was simply the sweetest guy that every girl would dream of having.  I really hoped that when the truth was revealed, she would be able to gain Ron's trust again and they can be together in the end.  But life is not always like fairy tales with happy endings.  At least she was able to finally wake up and slap Michael (finally).

On another note I liked the scenes when she's with her family.  She and Michael Miu makes a convincing sibling relationship.  It was sweet to see how much she cared for her siblings, Oscar and Him Law, which was why she thought borrowing money from Michael will help them pay off Oscar's debt.

Overall not my favourite series however I did enjoy Linda pairing up with Ron Ng.  They were such a cute couple, I really hope to see them collaborate again.

Daddy Good Deeds - Ko You Chu
This is Linda's fifth time collaborating with Steven Ma and I really love this pairing.  I never get bored of Linda and Steven since they have such great chemistry together.  This was one of the series that I really enjoyed Linda's character, especially since it was also a comedy (Her facial expressions were really cute!).  I really like family-comedy dramas because they are entertaining to watch.

Linda portrayed a cop who was quite clumsy but had a kind heart.  I felt sorry for her character when she found out that Chris had cheated on her.  She was standing there, watching her dad yell at Chris and crying silently.  It was sweet of Steven to lend her his shoulder.  The scene where she sings Rayamond Lam's song 'Ngoi bat kau' with so much emotion, it really proves no matter how strong you are love can tear you apart (perhaps not the best way to describe it, but well you all know what I mean).  I really did feel her heart break and especially since the song was about 'letting go'.  I really enjoyed the scenes with Steven, they were just too cute.  I loved the badminton scene when she took Steven's racquets and used it to catch the thief, that was hilarious!

Not only did I enjoy Linda and Steven's character, I also liked Edwin's role as Ah Yap.  He was too adorable and made me laugh so much (his haircut was very unique).  I really liked the relationship between the three friends, it was really nice to see them care for one another.  So sweet!

I'm glad there was a happy ending for the two and they even have a kid.  It was similar to A Watchdog's Tale, where they also started off as a bickering couple and ended up together and with a kid.

Again great performance by Linda.  She really did make me laugh and the overall storyline was enjoyable.  My family loved it!

House of Harmony and Vengeance - Bin Yuk Yin
One of my least favourite Linda series of the year so not much I can recall for a review.  I felt Linda's acting was too unnatural portraying an evil character.  Though I guess she performed well, since I felt sorry for Myolie's character most of the time because Linda was so nasty to her.  I also couldn't watch the pairing between Linda and Bobby and Evergreen Mak.  It was too weird.

On a side note I really liked the costumes in the drama, except the hairstyles.  This was the only hair style I liked on Linda through the whole series:

Witness Insecurity: Hailey Kiu
This was my favourite Linda series of the year, I will write my thoughts in another post since I have a lot to say.

Lastly, Missing You
I have yet to see this series, but I have been catching snippets of it.  Can't wait to watch it fully.  Linda's character reminds me of her character from Heart of Greed.  Also this is Jason's first time staring in a leading role so cant wait to see it, even though I've heard reviews saying that his acting is not that great.  However they do look cute together.

This ends my thoughts for Linda's 2012 series, so what was your favourite Linda series of 2012?

[News] Bosco's "Hui Sir" Comes Back to Life in Theatrical Version of Linda Chung's Song

EDITED WITH TRANSLATION OF CLIP!

There are only two days left before the TVB Anniversary Awards, Witness Insecurity starring Bosco Wong and Linda Chung is still the top rated series of 2012 to date, averaging 31.65 points. TVB anniversary series Silver Spoon, Sterling Shackles and The Confidant tried to boost the ratings by hosting an event for the cast to watch the finale with the audience. To maintain the popularity, Bosco comes back to life in the specially recorded theatrical version of Linda's song The Most Blissful Thing (最幸福的事).

Regarding the special theatrical version of the song, Bosco's role "Hui Sir" comes back to life, Bosco admitted: "Linda asked for my help because the two roles Kiu Chi Lam and Hui Sir has left deep impressions on the audience, so we recorded a special version!" Linda was asked if this version is used to help get more votes, she frankly expressed the audience knows in their heart, there is no need for them to purposely ask audience to vote for them!

Witness Insecurity currently holds the title of the top rated series of 2012, but Bosco and Linda expressed they don't mind other series surpassing them. Bosco frankly said: "The rankings are not important, the most important is TVB series get good response and ratings. That would be the best for all of us! We don't have to be the top rated of the year." Linda agreed: "We are still the top rated up until now, I'm pleased with this result. Even if we get surpassed and end up in second place, I'll still be just as happy!"

Also, last night Bosco and Niki Chow were shooting the ending scene for A Change of Heart. The scene was about the couple enjoying a romantic night together watching fireflies. Before filming, Bosco just had a lunchbox to eat, he said he hasn't had time to celebrate his birthday because he is also working on the Chinese New Year film and immediately following, there are a lot of Christmas jobs. He said: "I didn't think I'll have to spend my birthday in the middle of nowhere. Yesterday the crew did a quick celebration with me, sang me the birthday song and gave me a Ma Lai Go cake. I even treated everyone for drinks, no problem! As long as we're all happy." Niki was asked if she got a birthday gift for her partner? She said: "After we complete this series, I'll treat them all dinner, no problem! We had a pleasant collaboration, can think of it as an end of filming dinner or a dinner to make up for his birthday. (You treat the dinner?) No problem." Niki expressed she wishes Bosco's career goes smoothly. When asked if she'll introduce him to a new girlfriend? She said: "I can't even help myself, how can I look after others? We are all single, and understand its the time to work hard on our careers."

Thoughts:  When I first read the article, I thought there was actually be a "mv"-ish thing where Hui Sir will appear back onscreen.  Unfortunately, it is not so Q.Q

Translation:
"Love, there are many ways to love.
I've always thought that to love you, is just the same as protecting you
So you cannot get hurt.
But in the end I was the one who hurt you the most."

-The Happiest Thing: Lyrics-

"Some people said, if you cannot give happiness to your loved one, you should let them go.
But if I can start all over again,
I would choose to not let go of you,
And use all my effort to give you happiness."

Translated by Wendy@http://lindachungthoughts.blogspot.ca

Thoughts:  Aw, the lines added were so sweet!

Hmm...choosing to let go or not is difficult.  Of course if you like her and she likes you, don't let go.  But on the other hand, if you like her but she doesn't like you back...maybe you should let go?  Maybe not?  You don't necessarily have to be 'with' her, just be there to support her...even though that is quite unfair to you. lols so many difficulties :P  In the end, it all depends on the situation you're caught in and the perspective you're looking at it from.  In the end, just messy :P  Messy.  Lols.  Just go and listen to LoveLoveLove!  :)

[Interview] Radio Interview 10/23/12 - Linda Chung Talks about Wong Hei and Paul Chun

2012-10-23 wonghei paul ge by longan_182

Linda Chung and Wong He first collaborated in "Twilight Investigation". Wong He is well known to be very demanding, which worried Linda.

"I really enjoyed working with Wong He. Before collaborating with him, many people told me that he was difficult to work with. I was afraid, what if he thinks that I'm stupid? But it was not true, he's actually very nice. He believes in Buddha, that there may be conflicts in our beliefs, but in the end we're all people with compassion."

"He's a very cute person, often fang sheng (releasing animals), even when he sees a dead cockroach, he'd pick it up and find a place to bury it. I find him very compassionate and don't understand why people says he's scary."

"He helped me alot during filming. For example during this scene where I acted as a ghost, I was hungry and wanted incense. According to the script, I only had to speak the lines but he told me to sniff it too. He taught me everything or else the role would've been killed/wasted."

"Then there was one scene where he fainted, and I had to wake him up. Because we were already so close, I was acting and joking with him at the same time, tickled him, making him yell, "Wah, you're so crazy!"

".....Like during his birthday, he received alot of cake, and even the colleagues who didn't work that day came to the studio to congratulate him. I really admire his acting, and he's also such a compassionate person."

Linda Chung and Paul Chun collaborated in "Witness Insecurity", under the advice of pa pa Paul Chun, the role of Linda Chung's reached a new level. For the first time, Linda Chung publicly thanked Paul.

"During the filming of "Witness Insecurity", Paul encouraged me alot, even though he may not have notice it. When I act, I often thought of how to create a breakthrough and that's when I was told I will be working with Paul. I knew he have a lot of experience, good acting and he helped me alot. There was one scene where I hyperventilate, because I have psychological problems, crying while speaking. He taught me first to imagine myself losing air, feeling pain and then cry. Before, I only cried but he taught me how to show the difficulty of breathing and crying at the same time...slowly releasing the emotions."

"He showed me what a focused actor is like, his experience in acting is very rich. A veteran like him is very good, even in evil roles."

"I was scared when I first filmed with him, had to quickly memorize my script, cannot come late. But after knowing him...find him quite sweet. One time he was sick, a cold, his voice was like a little kid's, very cute."

Paul Chun says that Linda Chung is a very hardworking actress and gets into her role well.

Viet translation by LA@http://www.facebook.com/lindachungvn

Note: I do not know chinese :P  I only saw the Vietnamese translation by LA and decided to translate that to English, since I wanted to practice my Vietnamese.  This is not a "word for word" translation though....so take notice of that when you listen to the actual interview x)

Haha it took me so long to translate it, since I only knew like...90% of what was given, so struggled with some parts for quite a bit.  Then when I tried to listen to the interview I was like....wah, I recognized the words, "stupid, crazy, scared and ghost"  lols.  After 3 years of watching tvb series in cantonese...that was all I understood :P

I love Wong He.  Too bad tvb didn't treasure him :P  I find him quite sweet....remember the time he specifically came to tvb's studio to give Linda a Christmas present?  That was sweet!  I'm a bit confuse though.....didn't they collaborated in The Gem of Life?  So Twilight Investigation isn't the first one....just the first one they paired together in.  Really hope they can film together again one day though...personally liked them together alot.  hehe good chemistry..but more as friends in TI than a couple.

Witness Insecurity as Mooncakes Commercial - 05

Uncle: Chi-Lum, don't be angry with uncle, I didn't know the box of mooncakes was for Hui sir.

You know...half an hour before you eat them, you're meant to put them in the freezer and then the fridge. So I found them in the fridge thinking you offered it to me as a mark of respect.

You know...uncle really loves eating, seeing the refreshing smell, the honey and lychee filling, along with the replenishing properties of braised bird's nest, who doesn't want to eat it?

You know uncle is very gluttonous, I didn't mean to eat it.
Chi-Lum, don't cry. If you continue like this people will think I did something to you.

I swear, if I don't have a method to compensate Hui Sir, I will not be called your uncle!"

Witness Insecurity as Mooncakes Commercial - 04

Linda: Jojo, I want to ask, you and Hui Sir spoke earlier, what did he say?

Jojo: We spoke about you having insufficient courage to speak to him.

Linda: Really?

Jojo: Whether if it's the truth or not, love can really bring couples to be very obsess with each other, like living in a dream.

Linda: The things you speak about are really...deep?

Jojo: Let me teach you. With love, once you find the right one, you must not let go.  Similar to almonds meeting black sesames, taro meeting coconut milk.  If you haven't tried it, you wouldn't even know they matched!  Not only do they match, did you know almonds has moistening properties, black sesame has hair strengthening properties, and the fibres of taro aid the movement of large intestines? They all bring a lot of healthy benefits!  In summary, you need to grasp onto happiness at every opportunity.

Linda: So what should I do now?

Jojo: You're still asking? Mid-autumn festival is arriving soon, you better buy a box of snow-skin mooncakes for my cousin to demonstrate your love!

Witness Insecurity as Mooncakes Commercial - 01

Doctor: Ji Lam, you wanted to meet me all of a sudden, what's the matter?

Linda: Actually, I have something to ask you, ever since the members of WPU left, my heart has felt uneasy, my mind keeps thinking of this particular person.

Doctor: hmm..this type of emotion is called "tranference".

Linda: Transference?

Doctor: Definitely, I'll give you a simple example to demonstrate:

If someone offered you a snow-skin mooncake as a treat...you will not realize that you have placed a sense of emotion onto the person who had offered you the treat.  Similarly, an example involving me would be that I like drinking caramelized coffee and eating sesame paste. When choosing flavors of snow-skin mooncakes, I would also choose caramelized coffee and black sesame flavors.  In fact, transference occurs daily in our lives, its normal.

Linda: Are you sure?

Doctor: Yes.

As for the clips, there will be more coming (currently in the midst of translation)!  Hehe I hope you guys will enjoy the clips!  They're so funny....using Witness Insecurity to promote mooncakes :P  My favourite is the one of Gong He consoling Ji Lam while she's crying....will post it up soon!
